Royal Oak is located just north of downtown Victoria along the Patricia Bay Highway near exit 11. It is part of the large District of Saanich, and is bordered by Judah Street to the south and Elk/Beaver Lake to the north.

With the newly improved Royal Oak Bus Exchange, public transit access downtown or up the peninsula to the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal has never been easier! Several different routes take residents downtown in under 30 minutes, and a bus trip up to the ferry terminal takes just over a half hour.

Bordered by the beautiful Lochside Trail, an isolated biking and walking trail that stretches from downtown Victoria to the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, Royal Oak is also easily accessible by bicycle.

A beautiful neighbourhood just outside the bustling downtown core, but still secluded and surrounded by parks, Royal Oak is a wonderful and growing Victoria neighbourhood.

Shopping in Royal Oak

The bustling Broadmead Village shopping centre is conveniently located within Royal Oak, and his home to several local restaurants and boutiques as well as a Thrifty’s grocery store.

Just steps away from the local middle school, the Royal Oak Shopping Centre is another outdoor mall in the area that features a Country Grocer and a Shopper’s Drug Mart.

While all of life’s necessities are located right within Royal Oak itself, the vibrant shopping of downtown Victoria is also just a quick trip away by bike, bus or car.
